Ohio High School Basketball - Vermilion fells Western Reserve

December 1, 2023: Vermilion, OH 44089

Vermilion Sailors (Vermilion, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Western Reserve Roughriders (Collins, OH), 61-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Vermilion upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Sailors host Clyde (Clyde, OH) to clash with the Fliers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Fliers go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Roughriders clash with the St. Peter's Spartans (Mansfield, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. Western Reserve will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 65-36 non-league loss to South Central (Greenwich, OH).
