Calvary Baptist Cougars (La Verne, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Animo Leadership Aztec Eagles (Inglewood, CA), 2-0 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calvary Baptist upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to San Gabriel Mission (San Gabriel, CA) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 0-4. San Gabriel Mission lost 54-4 in their recent league bout against Paraclete (Lancaster, CA)

Next up, the Aztec Eagles play the Compton Early College Rising Phoenix (Compton, CA) in a Mulholland bout, on Thursday, December 14. Animo Leadership will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
