The Charleroi Cougars basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Derry Trojans to 45 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monessen for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 2. Charleroi will meet a Greyhounds team coming off a 41-7 non-league win over Brashear (Pittsburgh, PA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 1-0.
