Columbus Sailors (Waterloo, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA), 63-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Columbus upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Sailors travel to Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA) to play the Falcons in a North Iowa Cedar - East bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Aplington-Parkersburg won 66-39 in their recent non-league bout against Webster City (Webster City, IA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Lynnville-Sully Hawks (Sully, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. East Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 52-19 league win over H-L-V (Victor, IA).
