Honey Grove Warriors (Honey Grove, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Commerce Tigers (Commerce, TX), 38-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Honey Grove upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Chisum (Paris, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 7-6. Chisum won 41-35 in their recent non-league bout against Prairiland (Pattonville, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Ennis Lions (Ennis, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Commerce will attempt to upgrade on its 13-2 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 64-27 non-league loss to Brock (Brock, TX).
