The Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Luverne Cardinals to 42 in the Eagles non-league victory on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westbrook-Walnut Grove for a A Section 3 contest on Tuesday, December 5. Southwest Minnesota Christian will battle a Chargers team coming off a 55-48 league win over Adrian/Ellsworth (Adrian, MN). The Chargers record now stands at 2-0.

The Cardinals (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Montevideo (Montevideo, MN). The Thunderhawks come into the AA Section 3 contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Montevideo was defeated by Central Minnesota Christian (Prinsburg, MN), 61-44, in a non-league contest.
