McNary Celtics (Keizer, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mountainside Mavericks (Beaverton, OR), 48-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, McNary upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Celtics travel to Cleveland (Portland, OR) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Cleveland won 57-46 in their recent non-league bout against Barlow (Gresham, OR)

Next up, the Mavericks play the Forest Grove Vikings (Forest Grove, OR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Mountainside will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
