Rio Rico Hawks (Rio Rico, AZ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Flowing Wells Caballeros (Tucson, AZ), 34-19 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rio Rico upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hawks host Desert Sunrise (Maricopa, AZ) to play the Golden Hawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Golden Hawks go into the bout with a record of 3-0.

Next up, the Caballeros play the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Flowing Wells will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Thunderbolts go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 54-21 non-league win over Pueblo (Tucson, AZ).
