Cherokee Trail Cougars (Aurora, CO) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Monarch Coyotes (Louisville, CO), 84-78 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cherokee Trail upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Broomfield (Broomfield, CO) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Coyotes play the Northglenn Norsemen (Northglenn, CO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Monarch will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
