The East Jackson Trojans basketball team (Jackson, MI), was topped 56-45 in Monday's non-league contest with the visiting Maple Valley Lions (Vermontville, MI)

The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Stockbridge (Stockbridge, MI). The Panthers come into the Big 8 contest with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Michigan Center Cardinals (Michigan Center, MI) in a Cascades contest, on Friday, December 5. East Jackson will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Cardinals go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 60-42 non-league win over Lenawee Christian (Adrian, MI).
