The Hoover Patriots (Fresno, CA) basketball edged the host Mendota Aztecs (Mendota, CA), 38-34 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Patriots now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Kerman for a non-league bout on Thursday, December 4.

In their next game, the Aztecs encounter the Justin Garza Guardians (Fresno, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 3. Mendota will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Guardians come into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 57-30 non-league win over Washington Union (Fresno, CA).
