Bakersfield Drillers (Bakersfield, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA), 54-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bakersfield upgrades its record to 2-8 on the season. The Drillers host Centennial (Bakersfield, CA) to clash with the Golden Hawks in a non-league bout on Monday, December 12. The Golden Hawks go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Centennial won 56-44 in their recent non-league bout against Taft (Woodland Hills, CA)

Next up, the Generals clash with the Golden Valley Bulldogs (Bakersfield, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 14. Shafter will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
