Covenant Christian Eagles (Tuscumbia, AL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Colbert Heights Wildcats (Tuscumbia, AL), 67-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Covenant Christian upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Rogers (Florence, AL) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Rogers won 36-29 in their recent non-league bout against St. John Paul II (Huntsville, AL)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Phil Campbell Bobcats (Phil Campbell, AL) in a 3A Area 15 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Colbert Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 56-49 league loss to Danville (Danville, AL).
