Little Wound Mustangs (Kyle, SD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Crow Creek Chieftains (Stephan, SD), 65-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Little Wound upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Todd County (Mission, SD) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Todd County lost 47-42 in their recent non-league bout against Chamberlain (Chamberlain, SD)

Next up, the Chieftains play the Rapid City Christian Comets (Rapid City, SD) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 14. Crow Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 74-49 non-league win over Douglas (Box Elder, SD).
