The Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) basketball knocked off the host De Anza Dons (El Sobrante, CA), 60-51 in Saturday's non-league contest.
The Matadors now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincoln for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. Monta Vista will meet a Lions team coming off a 56-52 non-league win over Aptos (Aptos, CA). The Lions record now stands at 6-2.
The Dons (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Antioch (Antioch, CA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Antioch was defeated by Arroyo (San Lorenzo, CA), 71-58, in a non-league contest.
