The Lexington Christian Eagles basketball team scored 79 points and held the host Garrard County Golden Lions to 70 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Eagles now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paul Laurence Dunbar for a District 43 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Lexington Christian will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 54-51 non-league win over Woodford County (Versailles, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-1.

The Golden Lions (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, East Jessamine ran past Trinity Christian Academy (Lexington, KY), 75-43, in a league contest.
