Weatherford Kangaroos (Weatherford, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX), 59-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Weatherford upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Kangaroos host Northwest (Justin, TX) to clash with the Texans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Texans go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Northwest won 57-55 in their recent non-league bout against Little Elm (Little Elm, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats clash with the Liberty-Eylau Leopards (Texarkana, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Hallsville will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The Leopards go into the bout with a 9-0 record after their 74-53 non-league win over Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX).
