The Jones Trojans basketball team scored 37 points and held the visiting Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) to 33 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Trojans now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Miller for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. Jones will meet a Buccaneers team coming off a 87-59 non-league win over Edinburg (Edinburg, TX). The Buccaneers record now stands at 10-5.
The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Boerne (Boerne, TX). The Greyhounds enter the non-league contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Boerne nudged Canyon (New Braunfels, TX), 48-36, in a non-league contest.
