Lancaster Tigers (Lancaster, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Wheatley Wildcats (Houston, TX), 89-67 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lancaster upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Tigers travel to Crandall (Crandall, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a 5A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Crandall lost 63-42 in their recent non-league bout against Carter (Dallas, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Scarborough Spartans (Houston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 21 bout, on Monday, December 19. Wheatley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 82-28 league loss to Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men (Houston, TX).
