The Lopez Lobos basketball team (Brownsville, TX), was nudged 58-56 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX)
The Panthers now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mercedes for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 10. Weslaco will battle a Tigers team coming off a 69-66 non-league loss to Hanna (Brownsville, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-7.
The Lobos (12-2) will now prepare for their battle against Harlingen (Harlingen, TX). The Cardinals come into the non-league battle with a 4-12 record. In their last battle, Harlingen was nudged by Sharyland (Mission, TX), 52-49, in a non-league battle.
