Malibu Sharks (Malibu, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Thacher Toads (Ojai, CA), 55-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Malibu upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Sharks travel to Fillmore (Fillmore, CA) to clash with the Flashes in a Citrus Coast bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Flashes go into the bout with a record of 4-5.

Next up, the Toads clash with the Foothill Tech Dragons (Ventura, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Thacher will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 56-25 non-league win over Hueneme (Oxnard, CA).
