Wapakoneta Redskins (Wapakoneta, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Minster Wildcats (Minster, OH), 54-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wapakoneta upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Redskins host Memorial (St. Marys, OH) to play the Roughriders in a Western Buckeye bout on Friday, December 16. The Roughriders go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Memorial lost 71-59 in their recent non-league bout against Dublin Jerome (Dublin, OH)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Parkway Panthers (Rockford, OH) in a Midwest bout, on Friday, December 16. Minster will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 50-43 league loss to Fort Recovery (Fort Recovery, OH).
