California High School Basketball - Pittsburg crushes Mt. Eden

Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA), 70-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pittsburg upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Pirates host California (San Ramon, CA) to play the Grizzlies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Grizzlies come into the bout with a record of 5-2. California lost 62-56 in their recent non-league bout against San Ramon Valley (Danville, CA)

Next up, the Monarchs play the Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Mt. Eden will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 85-67 non-league win over Mt. Diablo (Concord, CA).
