The The Rock Lions basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Mt. Zion Prep Academy Warriors to 51 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newberry for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. The Rock will battle a Panthers team coming off a 72-56 non-league win over West Port (Ocala, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 4-1.

The Warriors (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Rock Creek Christian Academy (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Eagles enter the Metro Private contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Rock Creek Christian Academy was defeated by New Town (Owings Mills, MD), 57-45, in a non-league contest.
