Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) and the visiting Robert C. Byrd Eagles (Clarksburg, WV), saw Ripley's basketball squad wallop Robert C. Byrd by a count of 73-48.

With the victory, Ripley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Vikings host Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Lincoln County lost 57-52 in their recent non-league battle against Mingo Central (Matewan, WV)

The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV). The Colts come into the Big Ten battle with a 1-1 record.
