Virginia High School Basketball - Church Hill Academy topped by Veritas Collegiate Academy

The Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the host Church Hill Academy Phantoms to 52 in the Spartans non-league victory on Saturday.

The Spartans now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nansemond-Suffolk Academy for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 14. Veritas Collegiate Academy will battle a Saints team coming off a 77-40 non-league loss to Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA). The Saints record now stands at 3-3.

The Phantoms (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Woodberry Forest (Woodberry Forest, VA). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Woodberry Forest dropped by Bethel Academy (Manassas, VA), 56-52, in a non-league contest.
