Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE) and the host Shelby-Rising City Huskies (Shelby, NE), saw Sandy Creek's basketball squad overcome Shelby-Rising City by a tally of 41-29.

With the victory, Sandy Creek improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Holdrege (Holdrege, NE) to confront the Dusters in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Dusters come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Holdrege lost 94-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Ogallala (Ogallala, NE)

Next up, the Huskies confront the McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE) in a D1 District 3 challenge, on Friday, December 16. Shelby-Rising City will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record.
