Virginia High School Basketball - James Monroe trounces Giles

The James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) basketball crushed the host Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), 69-29 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mavericks (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV). The Cavaliers go into the Coalfield A test with a 1-0 record.

The Spartans now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host George Wythe for a Mountain Empire test on Tuesday, December 13. Giles will encounter a Maroons squad coming off a 64-58 non-league win over Marion (Marion, VA). The Maroons record now stands at 4-1.
