In Saturday's non-league match, the host River Pilots basketball team scored a good 54-40 triumph over the Martins Ferry Purple Riders.
In their next game, the Pilots meet the Fairland Dragons (Proctorville, OH) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 30. River will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record.
