Mountain Mission Challengers (Grundy, VA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors (Roanoke, VA), 57-24 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mountain Mission upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Challengers travel to Providence Academy (Johnson City, TN) to play the in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The come into the bout with a record of 9-2. Providence Academy won 60-48 in their recent non-league bout against Volunteer (Church Hill, TN)

Next up, the Conquerors play the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes (Forest, VA) in a VISAA Division III bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Southwest Virginia Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Tornadoes come into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 38-16 non-league loss to Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy (Moneta, VA).
