MacDuffie Mustangs (Granby, MA) backers were in high spirits Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Varsity Opponent (, ), 66-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, MacDuffie upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Mustangs host Cushing Academy (Ashburnham, MA) to clash with the Penguins in a NEPSAC Freelance bout on Saturday, January 6. The Penguins go into the bout with a record of 3-1.

Next up, the clash with the Nicolet Knights (Glendale, WI) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, December 10. Varsity Opponent will attempt to upgrade on its 131-467 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 72-62 non-league loss to Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD).
