The Luverne Cardinals basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Blue Earth Buccaneers to 62 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Redwood Valley for a AA Section 3 game on Friday, December 13. Luverne will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 87-43 league win over New London-Spicer (New London, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-1.
