Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL), 65-35 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Centralia advances its record to 6-1 on the year. The Orphans travel to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL) to face the Rams in a South Seven match on Friday, December 13. The Rams enter the match with a record of 3-2. Mt. Vernon won 57-53 in their recent non-league match against Alton (Alton, IL)

The Panthers now own a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland for a Mississippi Valley match on Friday, December 13. Jersey will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 53-51 non-league loss to Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-4.
