The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Jefferson Lions (Jefferson, OR) and the visiting Chemawa Indian Braves (Salem, OR), observed Jefferson's basketball team overwhelm Chemawa Indian by a margin of 72-42.

The Lions (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Rainier (Rainier, OR). The Columbians come into the non-league challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Rainier was trounced by Elmira (Elmira, OR), 59-15, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Braves battle the Santiam Wolverines (Mill City, OR) in a 2A Tri-River challenge, on Thursday, December 12. Chemawa Indian will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 64-33 non-league win over Monroe (Monroe, OR).
