The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Emerson Waldorf Gnomes (Chapel Hill, NC) and the visiting Iron Academy Swordsmen (Raleigh, NC), observed Emerson Waldorf's basketball team overcome Iron Academy by a score of 55-45.

The Gnomes (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Carolina Friends (Durham, NC). The Quakers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Carolina Friends dropped by Grovemont (Cary, NC), 57-49, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Swordsmen battle the Wake Prep Academy Guardians (Wake Forest, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Iron Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Guardians come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 59-47 non-league win over Bunn (Bunn, NC).
