In Tuesday's non-league test, the Trinity Hillers (Washington, PA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA), by a score of 60-42.
The Hillers now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bethel Park for a WPIAL 5A 3 game on Friday, December 13. Trinity will confront a Black Hawks team coming off a 76-70 non-league loss to Canon-McMillan (Canonsburg, PA). The Black Hawks record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Fort Cherry falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Rangers host Chartiers-Houston (Houston, PA) to confront the Buccaneers in a WPIAL 2A 3 game on Friday, December 13. The Buccaneers go into the game with a record of 3-1. Chartiers-Houston won 72-55 in their recent non-league game against Brentwood (Pittsburgh, PA)
