North Carolina High School Basketball - North Gaston holds off Highland Tech

December 10, 2024: Dallas, NC 28034

The North Gaston Wildcats basketball team scored 38 points and limited the visiting Highland Tech Rams to 37 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now have a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Crest for a 3A Big South game on Friday, December 13. North Gaston will confront a Chargers team coming off a 69-61 non-league win over A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Highland Tech falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Langtree Charter Academy (Mooresville, NC) to confront the Lions in a non-league game on Wednesday, December 11. The Lions go into the game with a record of 4-1. Langtree Charter Academy won 58-55 in their recent non-league game against Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC)
