In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Marietta Tigers basketball team scored a close 59-56 triumph over the New Philadelphia Quakers.
The Tigers (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Barnesville (Barnesville, OH). The Shamrocks go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Barnesville was tipped by Bellaire (Bellaire, OH), 78-77, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Quakers confront the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, OH) in a Ohio Cardinal contest, on Friday, December 13. New Philadelphia will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Minutemen go into the contest with a 3-0 record after their 55-42 non-league win over Dover (Dover, OH).
