The South Warren Spartans basketball team scored 94 points and limited the visiting Metcalfe County Hornets to 51 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now have a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Allen County-Scottsville for a non-league game on Thursday, December 12. South Warren will confront a Patriots team coming off a 73-70 non-league win over Metcalfe County (Edmonton, KY). The Patriots record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Metcalfe County falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host Clinton County (Albany, KY) to confront the Bulldogs in a District 16 game on Friday, December 13. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 4-0. Clinton County won 65-55 in their recent league game against Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY)
