Maryland High School Basketball - Chesapeake overwhelms Friends

The Chesapeake Cougars basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Friends Quakers to 30 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Glen Burnie for a Anne Arundel County game on Friday, December 13. Chesapeake will play a Gophers team coming off a 57-30 non-league loss to St. Charles (Waldorf, MD). The Gophers record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Friends drops to 0-3 on the year. The Quakers host St. Paul's Girls (Brooklandville, MD) to face the Gators in a non-league match on Thursday, December 12. The Gators enter the match with a record of 1-2. St. Paul's Girls won 46-42 in their recent non-league match against Eastern Tech (Baltimore, MD)
