The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Strom Thurmond Rebels (Johnston, SC) and the visiting Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC), observed Strom Thurmond's basketball team overcome Gilbert by a margin of 40-29.
The Rebels (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against South Aiken (Aiken, SC). The Thoroughbreds come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, South Aiken defeated Hardeeville (Hardeeville, SC), 64-12, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Indians battle the White Knoll Timberwolves (Lexington, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 11. Gilbert will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 46-42 non-league win over Westwood (Blythewood, SC).
