The Bears (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Mattawan (Mattawan, MI). The Wildcats come into the Southwestern Michigan - West challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Mattawan dropped by Kalamazoo Central (Kalamazoo, MI), 57-26, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Blue Devils encounter the Central Bearcats (Battle Creek, MI) in a Southwestern Michigan - East challenge, on Friday, December 13. Gull Lake will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 54-28 non-league win over Portage Northern (Portage, MI).
