North Carolina High School Basketball - Pamlico County thwarts Holmes

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Pamlico County Hurricanes (Bayboro, NC) and the visiting Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), observed Pamlico County's basketball team knock off Holmes by a score of 47-36.

The Hurricanes (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against West Carteret (Morehead City, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, West Carteret prevailed over New Bern (New Bern, NC), 45-38, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Aces encounter the Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC) in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal challenge, on Thursday, December 12. Holmes will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Redskins come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 47-14 non-league loss to Gates County (Gatesville, NC).
