Ohio High School Basketball - Watkins Memorial can't hold off Utica

Utica Redskins (Utica, OH) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Watkins Memorial Warriors (Pataskala, OH), 55-49 in a league match.

With the victory, Utica upgrades its record to 3-2 on the year. The Redskins host Northridge (Johnstown, OH) to face the Vikings in a Licking County - Cardinal match on Friday, December 13. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 3-2. Northridge won 58-55 in their recent league match against Licking Valley (Newark, OH)

The Warriors now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Zanesville for a Licking County - Buckeye match on Friday, December 13. Watkins Memorial will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 42-40 league win over Heath (Heath, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-5.
