The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN) and the host Faribault Falcons (Faribault, MN), witnessed Mayo's ice hockey team defeat Faribault by a score of 8-1.
The Spartans (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Marshall (Duluth, MN). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Marshall Hermantown (Hermantown, MN), 2-2, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Falcons battle the Breck Mustangs (Minneapolis, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 19. Faribault will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record.
