North Carolina High School Basketball - Alexander Central held off by McDowell

In Tuesday's non-league test, the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) basketball squad got by the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), by a score of 43-42.

Next, the Titans encounter the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, December 11. McDowell will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record. The Cavaliers come into the test with a 0-5 record after their 60-43 non-league loss to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC).

The Cougars (1-4) will now prepare for their test against St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Indians come into the non-league test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, St. Stephens held off Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC), 39-34, in a non-league test.
