California High School Basketball - South nudges Fremont

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the South Spartans (Bakersfield, CA) and the host Fremont Tigers (Oakland, CA), observed South's basketball team edge Fremont by a score of 51-50.
The Spartans (9-0) will now prepare for their battle against Hanford (Hanford, CA). The Bullpups enter the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Hanford was nudged by San Joaquin Memorial (Fresno, CA), 67-52, in a non-league battle.
The Tigers now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clovis for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 11. Fremont will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 66-47 non-league win over Redwood (Larkspur, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-2.
