In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Peabody Warhorses basketball team scored a big 50-25 triumph over the Byrd Yellow Jackets.

The Warhorses (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Savior Menard (Alexandria, LA). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Holy Savior Menard smashed Marksville (Marksville, LA), 55-22, in a non-league contest.

Next up, the Yellow Jackets face the Woodlawn-Shreveport Knights (Shreveport, LA) in a non-league match, on Monday, December 15. Byrd will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 2-8 record after their 54-16 non-league loss to Logansport (Logansport, LA).
