The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Pahrump Valley Trojans (Pahrump, NV) and the visiting GV Christian Guardians (Henderson, NV), observed Pahrump Valley's basketball squad hold off GV Christian by a count of 54-50.

With the victory, Pahrump Valley advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Trojans travel to Sunrise Mountain (Las Vegas, NV) to meet the Miners in a non-league battle on Monday, January 5. The Miners enter the battle with a record of 1-3. Sunrise Mountain lost 68-60 in their recent non-league battle against Sierra Vista (Las Vegas, NV)

The Guardians now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Moapa Valley for a challenge on Wednesday, January 7.
