Lakeside Eagles (Nine Mile Falls, WA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Quincy Jackrabbits (Quincy, WA), 74-73 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lakeside upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Chewelah (Chewelah, WA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Monday, December 13. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Chewelah lost 71-50 in their recent non-league bout against Colville (Colville, WA)

Next up, the Jackrabbits play the Omak Pioneers (Omak, WA) in a 1A Caribou Trail bout, on Tuesday, December 14. Quincy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Pioneers come into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 78-65 non-league loss to Manson (Manson, WA).
